What Is the WuWa Tier List and Why Does It Matter?
The WuWa tier list ranks every playable Wuthering Waves character based on their performance in the game's most demanding endgame content — Tower of Adversity and the Hazard Zone. This Wuthering Waves tier list is designed to help both new and veteran players decide which resonators are worth building, pulling, and investing in during Version 2.4.
Wuthering Waves, commonly called WuWa, is an action RPG by Kuro Games. Unlike many gacha games, WuWa's combat is deeply skill-dependent. A well-played B-Tier resonator can outperform a poorly played S-Tier character. That said, understanding the WuWa tier list helps you know the ceiling of each character — which matters when climbing the Tower of Adversity for maximum rewards.
Our Wuthering Waves tier list 2026 evaluates every resonator at Resonance Chain 0 (RC0) with their best-in-slot or craftable Echo sets and Weapons. We note where Resonance Chain upgrades significantly change a character's tier placement. We also factor in team synergy, not just solo performance — because no resonator carries alone in WuWa's endgame.

S-Tier Resonators Explained — Who Tops the WuWa Tier List?
S-Tier resonators in our WuWa tier list are characters who consistently achieve the highest damage output, best team synergy, and most reliable endgame performance across all content in Wuthering Waves Version 2.4.
Camellya — The Queen of Havoc
Camellya is the undisputed #1 DPS in the current WuWa tier list. Her kit revolves around the Petal Storm state, which transforms her basic attacks into rapid, spinning Havoc damage hits that apply Havoc Erosion stacks. At RC0, she already surpasses every other DPS in pure single-target damage, and her spin animation makes her one of the most satisfying characters to play in Wuthering Waves.
What elevates Camellya above other Wuthering Waves characters is her independence. She does not strictly require a dedicated sub-DPS or an expensive signature weapon to perform at S-Tier. A craftable Scarlette weapon combined with a 5-piece Havoc Echo set is enough to achieve endgame-level damage — making her genuinely accessible and not just a whale-only pick.
Her best team is: Camellya + Roccia + Shorekeeper. Roccia amplifies Havoc damage through her unique Concerto buff, and Shorekeeper provides the healing and energy regeneration that keeps Camellya's rotations uninterrupted.
Carlotta — Glacio Precision
Carlotta represents the best Glacio DPS in the entire Wuthering Waves tier list. Her gameplay loop centres on generating Frost Bullets through Heavy Attacks and spending them with her Resonance Skill for massive Glacio burst damage. She is one of the very few WuWa characters who can deal a significant portion of her damage off-screen through Forte Circuit mechanics, making her excellent for newer players who struggle with parry timing.
Carlotta pairs best with Zhezhi as a sub-DPS, who provides a Glacio DMG% amplification buff through her Resonance Liberation. Add Verina for healing and the universal 20% ATK team buff, and you have one of the strongest teams in the WuWa tier list 2026.
Cantarella — S-Tier Support Revolution
Cantarella redefined what a support character means in Wuthering Waves. Before her addition, supports were mostly limited to healing or energy regeneration. Cantarella introduced a brand new mechanic: Resonance Tethering, which allows her to buff the entire team's DMG% multiplier while simultaneously dealing off-field Spectro damage through a persistent field effect.
She fits into almost every team composition in the WuWa meta 2026, which is rare for a support unit. Cantarella is particularly powerful alongside Jinhsi, where her Spectro synergy increases Jinhsi's Spectro damage ceiling by 35–45% compared to using Verina as the support slot.
Jinhsi — Spectro Royalty
Jinhsi was the first true Spectro DPS to reach S-Tier in the WuWa tier list and she has never left it. Her kit is built around accumulating Incandescence stacks and converting them into screen-clearing Spectro AOE damage through her Resonance Liberation: Purge of Light. Jinhsi rewards players who understand her rotation deeply — mastering her timing can increase her personal damage by 20–30% compared to an auto-play rotation.
The ideal Jinhsi team in the current Wuthering Waves meta is: Jinhsi + Cantarella + Zhezhi. All three characters have unique buffs that stack multiplicatively, creating one of the highest DPS team compositions in all of Wuthering Waves endgame content.
💡 Important Note on S-Tier and F2P Players
All S-Tier characters in this WuWa tier list are evaluated at RC0 with craftable or limited 5-star weapons. You do not need signature weapons or Resonance Chains to perform at endgame level with any of these characters. Signature weapons typically add 15–25% damage — meaningful, but not mandatory for Tower of Adversity completion.

Best Echo Set: Havoc 5-piece (Dreamless)
Best Team: Camellya + Roccia + Shorekeeper
The best Glacio DPS in the Wuthering Waves tier list. Carlotta's Frost Bullet mechanic rewards precise play with massive burst windows. Her off-screen damage through Forte Circuit makes her excellent for players learning high-end rotations.
Best Echo Set: Glacio 5-piece (Mourning Aix)
Best Team: Carlotta + Zhezhi + Verina
The best support in the current WuWa meta 2026. Cantarella's Resonance Tethering mechanic provides a DMG% amplification buff unlike anything previously available. She is universally useful across every DPS team in the game, particularly Jinhsi and Camellya compositions.
Best Echo Set: Moonlit Clouds 5-piece
Best Team: Any S-Tier DPS + Cantarella + Flex
The original top-tier Spectro DPS and still firmly S-Tier in the WuWa tier list 2026. Jinhsi's Incandescence stack mechanic creates massive burst windows that are among the highest single-hit numbers in the game. Her Cantarella pairing elevates her to the absolute peak of Wuthering Waves meta.
Best Echo Set: Spectro 5-piece (Jué)
Best Team: Jinhsi + Cantarella + Zhezhi
The best healer in the WuWa tier list. Shorekeeper provides massive heals, a teamwide CRIT Rate buff, and energy regeneration — all in one kit. She is the go-to healer for Camellya and Havoc teams, and her CRIT Rate buff often pushes DPS characters above their solo CRIT cap, increasing overall team damage significantly.
Best Echo Set: Moonlit Clouds 5-piece
Best Team: Camellya + Roccia + Shorekeeper
Jiyan is the best Aero DPS in the Wuthering Waves tier list and remains highly competitive in Version 2.4. His Qingloong state during Resonance Liberation deals some of the highest burst damage in the game. While newer characters have higher overall ceilings, Jiyan is easier to play and remains A-Tier for all endgame content.
Best Echo Set: Sierra Gale 5-piece
Best Team: Jiyan + Mortefi + Verina
Best Team Compositions in Wuthering Waves 2026
These are the strongest team compositions in the current WuWa meta 2026. Every team below can achieve maximum stars in Tower of Adversity with properly built resonators. Team compositions in Wuthering Waves always consist of three characters — one main DPS, one sub-DPS or support, and one healer or buffer.
Understanding team building is the most important skill in Wuthering Waves beyond combat mechanics. Even with S-Tier characters, a mismatched team will underperform a well-synergised A-Tier team. The key to building strong teams in the current WuWa tier list meta is understanding three things: element synergy, buff stacking, and rotation efficiency.
Element synergy refers to characters whose resonance skills interact with each other's element applications. Buff stacking means combining additive DMG% buffs with multiplicative CRIT buffs, which together increase total team damage exponentially. Rotation efficiency is about minimising downtime — every second a character spends off-field without contributing to damage or buffing is wasted potential.
Camellya Havoc — Best Overall Team
The #1 team in the WuWa tier list 2026. Roccia's Concerto buff amplifies all Havoc damage by a flat 20% DMG%, Shorekeeper provides CRIT Rate and healing, and Camellya deals the highest sustained DPS in the game. This team consistently clears Tower of Adversity Floor 12 in under 90 seconds.
Jinhsi Spectro — Highest Burst Ceiling
The highest burst damage team in the current Wuthering Waves meta. Cantarella's DMG% amplification combined with Zhezhi's Glacio-into-Spectro synergy buff creates a multiplicative stack that pushes Jinhsi's Liberation numbers to game-record levels. Best used in floors with centralised boss encounters.
Carlotta Glacio — Consistent Freeze Comp
The most consistent team in the WuWa tier list for players who prefer methodical, deliberate play over high-APM rotations. Zhezhi's Glacio DMG buff and off-field damage complement Carlotta's Frost Bullet mechanic perfectly, while Verina provides the universal 20% ATK team buff.
Jiyan Aero — Best F2P Friendly Team
The best team for F2P players in the current Wuthering Waves tier list. Jiyan is available from early game, Mortefi is a 4-star sub-DPS that amplifies Heavy Attack damage, and Verina is obtainable through standard pulls. All three can be built with craftable weapons without spending Astrite on limited banners.
Changli Fusion — High Skill Ceiling
Changli rewards aggressive play with near-instant swap cancels and Fusion Resonance Liberation chains. Combined with Cantarella's DMG% amplification and Shorekeeper's CRIT buff, a skilled Changli player can match Camellya's DPS numbers — making this team a top pick in the WuWa meta for experienced players.
Yinlin Electro — Strong Sub-DPS Core
The best Electro team in the WuWa tier list. Yinlin's Judgment form deals massive off-field Electro damage during Calcharo's on-field windows, and the two characters' Resonance Chains interact to increase each other's Liberation damage. A strong choice for players who pulled Calcharo during Version 1.0.

How to Build Your Team Using the WuWa Tier List
Understanding how to apply our WuWa tier list is just as important as knowing who ranks where. Follow these steps to build the strongest possible team for your account.
Identify Your Main DPS First
Every team in Wuthering Waves is built around a primary DPS resonator. Start by choosing your main carry from the S or A-Tier section of the WuWa tier list. If you have Camellya, build a Havoc team around her. If you have Jinhsi, build a Spectro team. Your DPS choice determines every other team slot. Without a clear DPS, your team will lack focus and underperform in Tower of Adversity.
Add a Sub-DPS or Support That Buffs Your DPS
The second slot should amplify your main DPS as much as possible. In the current WuWa meta 2026, the best sub-DPS options are Roccia (for Havoc DPS), Zhezhi (for Glacio or Spectro), and Cantarella (universal support for any team). Avoid picking a sub-DPS who deals the same element as your main DPS without providing a specific resonance bonus — elemental doubling without synergy is a common mistake for new players building around the Wuthering Waves tier list.
Fill the Third Slot With a Healer or Buffer
The third slot in every WuWa team should be either a healer or a secondary buffer. Shorekeeper and Verina are the two best options in the WuWa tier list for this slot. Shorekeeper is preferred for teams that need CRIT Rate top-up (Camellya, Changli). Verina is preferred for teams that benefit from the flat 20% ATK buff she provides to all resonators. Never run two healers — one healer with a buffer is always more damage than two healers.
Build Echoes Before Weapons
A common mistake new players make is prioritising signature weapons over Echo builds. In Wuthering Waves, a character with a craftable weapon and a perfect 5-piece Echo set will outperform the same character with a signature weapon and a poor Echo set. Focus on farming the correct Echo set for your main DPS first. For most S-Tier characters in the WuWa tier list, this means a 5-piece matching element set with CRIT Rate or CRIT DMG main stat Echoes.
Practise Rotations — Skill Matters in WuWa
Unlike many gacha games, Wuthering Waves rewards mechanical skill significantly. Learning your DPS character's optimal rotation — including Quick Swap cancels and Perfect Dodge counterattacks — can increase your effective damage by 25–40% compared to a basic button-press rotation. Even a B-Tier character on this WuWa tier list can clear endgame content in the hands of a skilled player who has mastered their rotation. Do not skip the practice range.

⚠️ F2P Players: Focus on These Characters First
If you are a free-to-play player new to Wuthering Waves, prioritise pulling Rover (Havoc) — a free S-Tier DPS. Pair Rover with Sanhua (A-Tier sub-DPS) and Verina (A-Tier healer, obtainable from standard pulls). This completely free team can clear early Tower of Adversity floors and acts as a strong foundation while you save for limited banner S-Tier characters from our WuWa tier list.
Element Guide — Which Element Is Best in WuWa?
Understanding Wuthering Waves' six elements is essential to building effective teams in the WuWa meta 2026. Each element has unique properties, weaknesses, and synergies that affect how WuWa characters perform.
Havoc — The Dominant Element in 2026
Havoc is currently the strongest element in the WuWa tier list thanks to Camellya and Roccia. Havoc Erosion applies a damage-over-time effect that synergises with the Dreamless 5-piece Echo set for massive burst multipliers. If you have both Camellya and Roccia, Havoc should be your primary team.
Spectro — Most Versatile Element
Spectro is the most versatile element in Wuthering Waves. Both of the game's best support characters — Shorekeeper and Cantarella — are Spectro resonators. This means building a Spectro team naturally includes the best buffers in the game. Jinhsi as your DPS with a Spectro sub-DPS creates a fully synergised team that leverages Spectro resonance bonuses across all three characters.
Glacio — Best for Burst Damage Windows
Glacio specialises in high burst windows with Carlotta and Zhezhi. The Glacio element applies Frostbite stacks that, when detonated, deal massive concentrated damage — perfect for Tower of Adversity floors with large boss enemies that need quick burst phases to defeat.
Fusion — High Skill, High Reward
Fusion resonators like Changli and Encore reward aggressive, high-APM gameplay. Fusion Resonance Liberations deal high damage but require precise timing to maximise. In skilled hands, a Fusion team is among the fastest-clearing compositions in the WuWa tier list. For most players, however, S-Tier Havoc or Spectro teams are more forgiving.
Electro — Strong but Niche
Electro is a strong but somewhat niche element in the current WuWa meta 2026. Yinlin and Calcharo form a powerful Electro synergy duo, but the element lacks a third strong Electro resonator for full-team bonus activation. Electro teams are excellent for players who specifically pulled Yinlin on her original banner and want to maximise their investment.
Aero — Best for Beginners
Aero is the most beginner-friendly element in Wuthering Waves. Jiyan's Aero team is forgiving, easy to learn, and strong enough to clear all endgame content in the WuWa tier list 2026. If you are new to the game, starting with a Jiyan Aero team is the recommended path before investing in more complex Havoc or Spectro compositions.
Recent Patch Changes Affecting the WuWa Tier List
We track every Kuro Games balance update to keep our WuWa tier list accurate after every patch. All tier movements below were triggered by official Version 2.4 and 2.3 patch notes.
Cantarella — Launched Directly into S-Tier New Character
Version 2.4's flagship new resonator Cantarella immediately reshapes the WuWa tier list. Her DMG% amplification buff is the strongest support passive in the game at launch, and she fits seamlessly into Jinhsi, Camellya, and Changli teams. She is the first new S-Tier support since Shorekeeper.
Roccia — A-Tier to S-Tier Buffed
Roccia's Concerto buff was reworked from a flat DMG bonus to a DMG% multiplier in patch 2.4. This changes the buff from additive to multiplicative, significantly increasing its value in high-ATK Camellya teams. Roccia moves from A-Tier to S-Tier in the updated WuWa tier list.
Lingyang — B-Tier to C-Tier Power Crept
No direct nerf, but the arrival of Carlotta as a superior Glacio DPS with a more accessible kit pushes Lingyang to C-Tier in the current Wuthering Waves tier list. Lingyang's rotation is significantly more demanding for lower absolute damage output than Carlotta at the same investment level.
Encore — B-Tier to A-Tier Buffed
Version 2.3 buffed Encore's Resonance Liberation duration from 14 seconds to 18 seconds. This extra window allows one additional full rotation within her Liberation state, increasing her total DPS by approximately 18%. Encore rises from B-Tier to A-Tier in the WuWa tier list.
Camellya — S-Tier Confirmed Meta Leader Buffed
Petal Storm's spin hit count increased from 8 to 10 per second in Version 2.3. This 25% DPS increase solidifies Camellya as the undisputed #1 in the WuWa tier list 2026 — a position she is unlikely to lose before a significant power-creep event.
Carlotta — Launched into S-Tier New Character
Carlotta arrived in Version 2.2 as the first new S-Tier Glacio DPS, immediately displacing Lingyang and establishing a new benchmark for Glacio element DPS in the Wuthering Waves tier list. Her accessible mechanics made her the most pulled character of Version 2.2.
